Our Process

Free Consultation – After initial communication (through the contact form or by phone/email), a time will be scheduled for one of our team members to come and look at the project in person. During the initial consultation, we will give you a rough “ballpark” estimate and if we agree that DeVos Construction is a good fit for your project we will begin work on a detailed estimate for the project.

Estimating – Estimates are billed at 1% of total estimate price and payment details will be laid out with the delivery of the estimate. Within approximately 1-2 weeks from the initial consultation, we will contact you with an estimated job cost determined by specific job details.

Repair work Estimates — Due to the complexity of repair work, especially on historic homes, many of our projects will be billed as “time and materials” projects. The estimating process for these projects is similar, but there is no 1% fee associated with these estimates and the estimate price is a range instead of a set price.

Contract – After Estimated price is agreed upon by DeVos Construction and the customer, we will write a contract and establish a start date. We will then meet with the customer to go over the contract and the contract will be signed by both parties before we move forward with the project and begin work.
